26th October 2011
With less than a year to go to the 2012 Games, Olympic and Paralympic fencing hopefuls will be demonstrating their fast and skilful sport in the Western Courtyard at Devonshire Square, near Liverpool Street in London, on Thursday 3rd November from 6pm.
The competition, featuring all three fencing weapons; foil, epee and sabre, as well as wheelchair fencing, will be hosted by the BBC’s Graham Bell who will explain the action to spectators.
The showcase event is follows on from the hugely successful pop-up fencing demonstration held in Leadenhall Market back in March this year and is in support of Beazley's five year sponsorship of British Fencing.
Onlookers will be encouraged to have a go and will be coached by the Great Britain team members present. With prizes and pride to be won, head down to Devonshire Terrace for a drink after work and find out more about fencing.
