Jack Hudson, 16, and currently living in Texas, USA, finished in the top eight of both the under-17 and under-20 Vigor Challenge events in Gothenburg this weekend, narrowly missing out on two medals.
Hudson finished last year with a string of medal winning performances. Andrey Geva, Hudson’s coach at the Alliance Fencing Acadmey in Houston said, “Following Jack’s silver medal in the Men’s Cadet Epee at the North American Cup in Milwaukee and silver in Chalon’s last year, he is fencing more confidently. He fenced very well against strong opposition in Gothenburg.”
Hudson was already in the top 100 in the world at Junior level before this event which is impressive given his age. This result will see him climb further up the rankings, and he is one to watch for the future.
